 Jez Hall was recruited as Managing Director for Azzurri Sports and Leisure Limited at the commencement of April 2009.  Jez was a founding Director of Powerleague Group plc the largest operator of purpose built licensed five-a-side soccer centres in the UK (occasionally referred to as one of the Godfathers of five-a-side footie!) Until June 2007, Jez was an Executive Board Member of Powerleague Group plc responsible for Operations and New Acquisitions/Developments before a period of 12 months as a non-executive Director. He stepped down in June 2008 on the sale of the majority stake to Patron Capital and their subsequent elevation to the Board of Directors. Jez was a key member of the team who raised the original venture capital to grow the business from a single 15 pitch centre in Nottingham, through a management buyout from venture capital owners to a successful flotation on the Alternative Investment Market and on exit a business with 45 centres and a turnover of £26m in June 2008.

Prior to developing Powerleague, Jez held a number of senior management posts in the commercial leisure industry, as Operations and Development Director for Leisure Times Limited initiating the development of the highly successful Hollywood Bowl chain, Liberty Street restaurants and a chain of nightclubs, opening General Manager of the Granada owned American Adventure Theme Park, Assistant to the Managing Director of the Noble Organisation, and Regional Manager for First Leisure Corporation plc responsible for their Blackpool Resorts businesses. A Hospitality graduate of the University of Surrey, Jez now lives in the north west commuting to our head office in Woking each week. He is married, with a 16 year old son and elder daughter, two English pointers, an ancient cat and a pond full of Koi fish! He is a Season ticket holder at Wigan Athletic. Please do  not mention Tottenham.

I am the operations manager for Azzurri Fives and over see the day to day running of all our leagues across the South East, including our site at Egham, and ensure the smooth running and management of all our venues. I joined the company in 2006 and am the current longest serving employee.

 

I am a season ticket holder at Reading, who I have followed since the good old days at Elm Park, and play football on a Sunday for Kingston Park Rangers as a marauding right back in the mould of Cafu.

 

I also captained the AC Azzurri side to the semi finals of the Fulham FC Corporate Cup where we narrowly lost on penalties to the eventual winners – don’t ask who missed the important spot kick!
